In the beginning, elephants didn’t always have trunks. One day, Baby Elephant roamed all the way to a river. Baby Elephant stuck its trunk in the water, alerting Crocodile to his presence. Crocodile bit Baby Elephant’s trunk and tried to pull him into the river, but the little elephant dug his heels into the sand.
Crocodile eventually let go of Baby Elephant, but not before he stretched his little trunk. Instead of shrinking back to its original size, Baby Elephant’s trunk remains stretched to this day.
