Wimpy welcomes Lifesaving South Africa into the family

Wimpy has been a proud sponsor of Lifesaving South Africa since 2019

A year ago, when the opportunity arose to collaborate with Lifesaving South Africa, it was an obvious choice for us. As a family brand, we understand that the family concept has evolved overtime and we have evolved with it. Being South Africa`s most preferred family sit-down restaurant, we have constantly focused on co-creating and enhancing the family experience for our customers.

Pool days, fishing and beach vacations are long standing South African family traditions, which offer opportunities of water fun and adding smiles to our beautiful children’s faces. With this sponsorship, Wimpy is now able to not only provide family moments at our restaurants but also to be there next to the pool, on the beach and in the classroom when children are taught about water safety.

Our sponsorship focusses on three main areas:

The LSA Duty Squads who are responsible for ensuring that the community is safe while on the beach and in pools.
The LSA Schools Water Smart Programme, where trained facilitators go out to schools to teach children about water safety.
Finally, sponsorship of this prestigious and iconic championship event that displays the skills and talent that South African lifeguards have to offer.

We would also like to extend a warm welcome to everyone that is participating in the championships as well as the supporters at large. We commend you for the work that you do every day for the families we love, and we look forward to another year where you save lives, prevent drowning and promote water safety.
