Mother and child reading a book together

CHICHARITO

Chicharito is an original South African short story by Sihle’iSipho Nontshokweni and tells the tale of a worker ant that leaves her colony in search of endless fun. Chicharito soon learns that all that glitters is not gold and that there’s no such thing as a free lunch!

Chicharito offers valuable lessons about the value of family and forgiveness and brings home a truth we often take for granted – home isn’t just a place to lay your head; it’s also where you lay your heart.
