THE BABOON, THE DASSIE AND THE BERRIES

In the not-so-distant past, Cape Point was home to a diverse group of friends: Dassie, Hadeda, Porcupine, Bontebok and Baboon. The friends always had something to eat, thanks to the generous downpour provided by Grandmother Rain. The rain was provided on one condition – that the animals were only allowed to eat enough to meet their needs, not their greed. But when one of the friends has more than her fair share of food, it’s up to the rest of the group to find the culprit and set things right with Grandmother Rain, before they run out of food.

We’re all familiar with the phrase ‘sharing is caring’, but there are few stories that illustrate this point more beautifully than The Baboon, The Dassie and the Berries.
