Step into your Slippers and support Slipper Day

All around South Africa, many young children are fighting big battles against serious illnesses. Their dreams—simple joys like playing games or meeting their idols—give them the courage to keep fighting. These aren't just fleeting wishes; they're the very hope these children cling to. And there’s a simple way you can help bring those dreams to life.

Take Blayke Fourie (9) for instance. Blayke, a huge rugby fan, has been fighting progressive kidney failure for the past four years until he received a life-saving kidney transplant from his father in December 2023. Thanks to Wimpy and Reach for a Dream, Blayke got to meet his idol - Springbok player Eben Etzebeth.

"Meeting Eben Etzebeth was a dream come true. He's my hero; he is so strong and brave," said Blayke, his eyes sparkling with joy.

Special experiences like these are possible because of your support. This year, we're asking you to help again. Buy a R20 sticker at Wimpy, and help kids like Blayke reach their dreams. Wear your sticker on 31 May, and we’ll give you a FREE Famous Wimpy Coffee or kids’ hot chocolate to say thanks. Whether you're in your slip-ons or loafers, every step you take in your slippers helps make a big difference. Join us this Slipper Day to keep making dreams a reality for these little dreamers.
